Tonight we went to the River Woods in Provo. We started off with dinner at Macaroni Grill, then walked around and checked out the beautiful lights, and of course we had to say "hi" to Santa Claus! Of course, it had to be 25 degrees outside. Oh well, we all had a blast anyway. This is a new "Christmas Family Tradition" that we started last year. Emma spearheaded going this year. She remembered! At dinner, we mentioned that this was Family Home Evening. Emma decided that our lesson should be about believing. (She doesn't even know that "believe" is the theme I chose for our Christmas cards this year.) We talked about things that we believe. Tate said, "I believe that the church is true and that mommy's head is all better." What a sweetheart.
One of the fire pits. The kids love this, but it's not warm enough for me.
The kids still believe in Santa Claus but they continue to bombard me with questions. I just answer... "what do you believe."

Sounds like a fun FHE, bu tore than that it was fun to hear a little about what's going on with your family and to see those cute kids. Miss you. Hope things are steadily improving. I believe too!
What a fun tradition...and yes, 25 is way too cold and there's no way one of those fire pits would sufficiently warm someone!
You're lucky that your kids still believe. My 4 year old does by our 7 year old figured it out on his own earlier this year. :( He's being good and egging his sister on, though!
Hope you're feeling good and that all is well...
It's always fun to hear what your family is up to. Sounds like Christmas is in full swing.
And I love the "believe" theme!
=)
What a great response to Santa questions! "What do you believe?" That is just great, Cath - so nice to see an entry! I'm sure the empty months on here are in perfect contrast to the FULL days during that same time... :)
Can't wait to see you soon!
