What a great day. The morning we had Emma's playdate group over and one of the moms, Jessica, stayed and chatted. It was fun to catch up with her. I made the girls pancakes for a pre-lunch snack and that was a big hit. At the end of the playdate, we sang activity songs and had a rousing game of "duck duck goose". None of the girls wanted to go home. They are great friends. In the afternoon we had so much fun at the YMCA swimming. Below is a picture of the kids in August with one of their first lessons with teacher Nola. They were hanging on for dear life! Now in just 4 months of once a week lessons, they swim with just a noodle and no teacher or mommy. Amazing!!! They will also jump off the side or do sitting dives with no help. The activity pool was set to 26" so the kids could run around and play. I can't believe they didn't fall asleep on the way home. I'm sure they will be in bed by 7pm tonight. That's a good thing because I have Savior of the World rehearsal tonight. Keith will be glad.
